Here at the LGI the Children's Heart Surgery Fund Charity supports valuable equipment, resources and research for the treatment of children with heart defects, whilst providing a support service for both the children and their families along the way.

Our aim is to ensure that these children have the best possible chance of survival. Our hope is to give 'each child a childhood'; our dream is to give them an adulthood. Please help us to continue this amazing work.

We are also fighting plans to close the unit as a result of a national review by the NHS’s Safe and Sustainable.  As part of this we have been highlighting the flaws and inaccuracies in the process for over a year.  A final decision will be announced by a panel of decision makers, the JCPCT, on 4th July 2012.  For more information on the activity please visit the ‘Save our Unit’ tab.
