Ethan’s birthday shoot-out
Parent Joanne Britton has decided that for her son Ethan’s 13th birthday party, she is going to raise funds for the CHSF. Joanne says "To celebrate Ethan’s 13th birthday, as my way of saying thank you for saving Ethan’s life 13 years ago, we want to give something back".
Between them, a football themed event has been arranged for Saturday 25th September 2010, starting at 6.30pm with a penalty shoot out on one of the outdoor pitches at Goals, Kings Road, Bradford. There will also be a raffle and a few games including name the teddy, guess how many sweets etc plus a DJ. Children are most welcome; Joanne has decided to make admission free and hopes that people will make a donation on the evening. For further information, please contact Debbie Exley on 0113 3925907.
Mick Uttley Golf Day – Sunday 8th August
Parent Mick Uttley has arranged a Golf Day on Sunday 8th August at Phoenix Golf Club, Brinsworth, Rotherham, tee off at 12pm. The event is limited to 20 teams, 4 man team (stableford 3/4 handicap max 24 – 1/2/3 to score from 4 players on 1-6/7-12/13-18 holes)
Price is £180 per team which includes: Balls and freebies (divot tools/tees etc), bacon sandwich & drink, 18 hole competition, 1/2 way house for refreshments, nearest pin / longest drive / beat the Pro-Amateur / putting competition. There will be a 2 Course meal and presentation. PLUS booby prizes i.e. best dressed/worst dressed!! Also, fantastic prizes to be had including tour bags/carry bags, balls & accessories. All proceeds to the CHSF.

James Bond Themed Casino Party Night
Parent Claire Ashall has arranged a James Bond themed casino party night at Leigh Masonic Hall, ‘The Ellesmere Suite’, Leigh on Saturday 12th June. Tickets are £10 each – this includes a drink on arrival, poker chips and canapés. The night includes roulette, black jack and poker. T D Waterhouse Fun Day
Corporate sponsors T D Waterhouse are once again holding a Charity Fun Day on Saturday 10th July at the John Charles Centre for Sport in Leeds. A football match will take place between The All Stars and The T D Waterhouse Dream Team. A massive thank you to all at T D Waterhouse for their continued support!!
Wakefield Fundraising Evening – it’s FREE!!
Stewart Bedford (grandparent of Millie Bragg) is once again raising funds for the CHSF!! Stewart is holding an evening of entertainment at Westgate Common WMC in Wakefield where approximately 9 acts will sing and entertain you. Jane Tomlinson Run 2010 - Sunday 4th July
The Children’s Heart Surgery Fund has secured 70 places for the 2010 Jane Tomlinson run which will take place in Leeds on Sunday 4th July. Now in its fourth year, Jane Tomlinson’s Leeds 10k has become a firm fixture on the annual running calendar.
Set up by the inspirational Jane Tomlinson MBE, it's the ideal way to enter a superb sporting event, while raising valuable funds for the CHSF. No matter what your level of fitness, whether you run, wheel or walk, this is your opportunity to join thousands of others and participate in this 10k challenge. As you pass through the city of Leeds wearing your CHSF t-shirt, you will be cheered on by hundreds of enthusiastic supporters. The carnival atmosphere, the knowledge that you are helping to make difference to the lives of children born with heart defects - and perhaps fulfilling a personal challenge of your own - combine to make this a brilliant, emotional, and unforgettable day, for runners and supporters alike.
