fundraising

There are loads of way to get involved and whatever help you are able to give will make a profound difference to the treatment and care we can provide to children with heart defects.

Today, corporate social responsibility goes far beyond the old philanthropy of the past-donating money to causes at the end of the financial year – and is instead an a year–round responsibility that companies accept for the environment around them, for the best working practices, for their engagement in their local communities and for their recognition that brand names depend not only on quality, price and uniqueness but on how, cumulatively, they interact with the company's workforce and the community. Make that difference support CHSF.

Community Fund–raising

Families, individuals, schools, churches, companies, scout packs, Rotaries, nurseries, pubs, and many other community groups and associations have supported our work by organising their own event.

Sponsorship

This is a great way to raise money for charity. Events vary from sponsored walks, talks and slims to the more adventurous bungee jump or skydive. All sponsor forms are personalised.

Organise your own event

There are endless ideas for organising fund–raising events, see below for some ideas.

School Fund–raising

There are many ways of raising money for schools, quite often at little individual cost, whilst engendering to a caring society. A representative from the CHSF can come to school to talk to the pupils in assembly or class. This is an ideal way to communicate the care for others, whilst highlighting that not all children are fit and well

The CHSF Kids Quiz

This educational quiz teaches children about how the heart works and is widely recognised as complementary to the national curriculum. There are a series of questions about the functions of the heart as well as some fun tasks to complete.

Non–uniform Day

The novelty of not wearing a school uniform never fails to appeal to children. Incorporating a theme to the day associated with their curriculum also makes learning fun.

Sports Day

Most schools have an end of year sports event, including a charity race for the children and asking the parents and teachers to join in the fun turns competition into team building. Tombola and cake stalls help to keep spectators happy whilst all the organisation takes place.

Summer / Christmas / Craft Fairs

Seasonal and traditional fairs are often used to raise revenue for schools and we are always grateful to those schools that let our merchandise stall join theirs.
