Helen Arundel Husky Trail

Helen Arundel aims to raise at least £2,012 for the CHSF by driving a team of huskies over 250km in the Arctic Circle.

The challenge will take place from 31st March to 7th April 2012. Helen's granddaughter Chloe is one of many born with CHD. Her complex problem was diagnosed when she was 5 days old and up to the age of 14 Chloe has had many operations and procedures at the LGI. Helen has decided to take up this challenge to celebrate her 65th birthday, she is covering the cost of the trip herself so every penny raised in sponsorship will come to the CHSF. Helen is already in training for the challenge, increasing her strength and stamina in preparation for pushing sleds up mountains and coping with fourteen hour days. She has joined a local gym and has been delivering papers on foot most mornings.
