Dear Trustees,

We would like to express our gratitude for the financial help that we received from CHSF. Without which we would have been unable to attend the Paediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Conference last month. These meetings are particularly useful as they provide an opportunity to network with international colleagues working within the field in order to learn from each other. There were many very interesting topics during the 3–day conference. In particular the use of integrated pathways for congenital conditions, which are currently used in Boston USA and London. We are in the process of looking to these centres for further information with a view to considering the use of care pathways at LGI.

Yours sincerely

Hi Sharon,

I just wanted to pass on my thanks to the Children's Heart Surgery Fund for providing funding for myself and my colleague to attend the Evelina Children's Hospital Foundation Paediatric Echocardiography course at the end of January this year. The course provided extensive theoretical knowledge regarding practical and clinical skills, in addition, there was an emphasis on hands-on learning providing an excellent opportunity to scan children under expert supervision. Skills obtained during the two days will be utilised frequently when scanning babies and young children here at the LGI.

Many thanks again,
Ruth

Dear CHSF,

I would just like to say thank you so very much for the financial support that you gave us on our discharge from the ward. It helped immensely and relieved a lot of pressure from me. Becky is recovering really well from her surgery, still thinks she can do more than she can, but she will work that one out for herself, won't she. I can hardly believe that it will have been four weeks on Thursday, the time has flown so quickly.

Dear CHSF,

Thank you very much for the kind purchase of the 3D Echo system for the Cardiology Department. It has taken a little time for the relevant software to be installed and for us all to be trained in the use of the new 3D Package, which Really is a significant advance compared to what we had before. I have no doubt whatsoever that this will have an impact on our ability to accurately diagnose congenital heart disease. As you know we are increasingly reliant on charitable support and we are grateful indeed for your continued help.
