Vacuum Assisted Devices

 We are delighted to tell you that the CHSF have purchased two Vacuum Assisted Venous Drainage Devices costing £4,620. Stephen Hansbro of the LGI says that in recent years the size of neonatal patients undergoing cardiac surgery has reduced and this has resulted in the size of cannulae and the tubes to which these are connected becoming much smaller. Stephen believes the units will benefit the paediatric and neonatal patients at the Leeds General Infirmary and has passed on his sincere thanks to our fundraisers for making the purchase possible.
