Over the past 12 months, listeners of Heart Yorkshire and Capital Yorkshire have been dressing up, baking cakes, taking on challenges, making a whole lot of noise and raising loads of money to help support small charities across the UK like Children’s Heart Surgery Fund.

This Fundraising Friday we’re happy to announce that thanks to the fantastic efforts of all involved in Global’s Make Some Noise, we have been granted an amazing £75,000.00.

This wonderful donation will fund a state of the art 3D-printer to create models of children’s hearts for doctors to study ahead of surgery, as well as 35 life-changing INR testing kits.

Sharon Coyle, CEO says:

“This new equipment will make a significant difference to the region, particularly for the most complex of cases. It’s a huge step forward for surgeons operating on the sickest of babies and young children.”

This donation was above and beyond our expectations, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

#BecauseOfYou we can support even more children and adults with congenital heart disease.

Thanks again to all of our supporters, the families who celebrated with us, Heart and Capital radio listeners and the fantastic team at Global!
