This #FundraisingFriday we are celebrating the incredible fundraising from #TeamELSIE! ❤️👏
Rachel, Elsie’s Mum, said:
I chose to support CHSF because my daughter Elsie was born with congenital heart disease and had open heart surgery in Feb 2019 age 6 months old. Without CHSF my daughter wouldn’t be here – previous donations have provided life saving equipment to keep my daughter alive and I will carry on raising money so CHSF can do the same for other children.
CHSF provided accommodation so I was minutes away from Elsie when she was in intensive care. When Elsie was well enough to be back on Ward L51 she was given Katie bear, a medal and certificate for her bravery and we also had a visit from some Leeds United players on Valentines Day! Thank you so much CHSF for making our time in hospital bearable.
I raised money by opening a JustGiving page with a little story about Elsie’s condition and what she had been through. I, along with family and friends, also took part in KAPOW! A huge thank you to The Brick pub in Wortley for taking part! They also held a fun day to raise more funds for #TeamELSIE. Lastly I raised money for the charity by asking for donations instead of cards and presents on my birthday. CHSF have made such a difference to our lives!
Thank you #TeamELSIE! We can only do what we do because of people just like you! #BecauseofYou
