We’re thrilled to be part of Global’s Make Some Noise campaign this year!

Heart FM’s Dixie and Emma (pictured above with CHSF’s Corporate Fundraising Manager Ellie) visited the Leeds Heart Unit to kick off the partnership, and had a very emotional experience.

They were shown around by Cardiac Nurse Specialist Mike Fresson, and then interviewed patients and staff to help promote our charity on their show.

You’ll see a gallery of their introductory visit here.

This fundraising will bring the ability to print 3D models of children’s hearts to the Leeds Congenital Heart Unit, leading to quicker and more accurate procedures.

Here’s how the Make Some Noise campaign works…

On Friday 6th October, all of Global’s radio stations – Heart, Capital, Capital XTRA, Classic FM, Smooth, LBC, Radio X and Gold – come together.

Their listeners and friends in the music and entertainment industry “make some noise” for our charity (which is amongst 33 taking part across the UK) and dress loud for the day to raise money!

Supporters can raise money for a variety of charities  – including ours – via their “Raise £30 in 30 days” appeal.

Money raised via 30 in 30 will be spread across all Make Some Noise’s nominated charities.

They launched the Make Some Noise campaign across all their brands on Friday 8th September.

You will hear presenters talking about who we are, what we do and why listeners need to donate to Global’s Make Some Noise in the build up to Make Some Noise Day on October 8th.

So, take note of  the key date – Friday October 6, look out for news, and tune in to the Global stations above – especially Heart FM to hear more.
